Because she has "always" gone by her middle name. My brother-in-law is another person who was always called by his middle name. It's not typical but the fact is that there are people, who for different reasons, have been called by their middle name from their earliest years.
It is especially common with boys who share a first name with their father, but it is very common.
It’s only on FR I ever hear her real name used. This is where I found out.
‘Nikki’ isn’t even a nickname. It is her whole, complete, and unaltered middle name for which there is evidence that she was addressed with it from young childhood.
This is an exceptionally stupid argument.
