I am a great admirer of MTG, but in this case she is very wrong.
The first thing that would happen is that those states would be taken over by the Chinese, one way or another, and that would be the first step in the invasion and destruction of our country.
The better way to handle the crazy states would be to declare martial law in those states only and take them over by the US government in a manner similar to the Civil War.
We don’t need a national divorce! We just need to have 537 elected officials who have the balls to retire the 23million non-elected government employees! If they can’t reign in the 23+million then we need a new set of 537 elected officials!

The problem is that centralizing all power is THE main tenet of the Leftist religion. Ergo, they will never agree to decentralize power - which in America’s case means returning powers to the states which the federal government usurped.
Thus, a national divorce makes the most sense. Otherwise, it will come to bloodshed.
