The Republican Party is dead as far as actually governing. It is used as a label for elections only.
The establishment is in bed with the DNC.

I’d like to believe her. But history of the GOP in the last 30 years says that this is the sort of thing they say once they know the fix is in, and she’s really telling US that we have to suck it up because BOHICA.

RNC’s McDaniel: I Would Support Any 2024 GOP Nominee, Including Trump or Romney
Mittie's running? Bwaah!
Here's where they get that headline from:
I’m going to support the nominee. Listen, I say this all the time, Dana. I am Mitt Romney’s niece, and I was appointed to the RNC by Donald Trump. I would support both of them if they were the nominee of our party over Joe Biden. But I don’t know if they would support each other.
She also thinks that Biteme is running again. His wife thinks so, too. We'll have to see how the formaldehyde works over time.

Fastest way to improve the RNC is to replace McDaniel.

This life-long GOPer sees a major potential for conflict of interest.
Might McDaniel have many opportunities and methods to assist Uncle Willard?
The best I can tell, motive and opportunity just happen to exist here.

Well, go ahead and support Romney, and lose another election.

The election is already fixed, right Ronda?! That is why you want to be RNC chief one more time. To make sure the Orange man does not get the ticket.

Romney might...might take UT in the general but that is about it.
McDaniel has no idea what she is doing.

Good thing I’m an independent and not a Republican. No way on Earth that I’d support Willard.

The divisions are mostly between the voters on one side and the republican leadership on the other. The simple way to fix that is to GET RID OF THE LEADERSHIP!
