Derailments are not uncommon. There are around 20 per week in the US.

Rain carrying.....?
Is that like clouds...or trains carrying rain?

I suspect the usual limestone(coral) foundation for a Florida roadbed. Sinkholes, large and small are the norm.

Well, there are derailments and then there are derailments. Thankfully, most are “fender benders”.

There are 1500 derailments a year but now we hear about every one.

Nor did I until I looked. The data is on railroads.dot.gov.

Suspicious that these events with hazardous materials are confined to red states.

I remember when a propane car on the KCS line blew up back in 1969. Just about wiped Noel MO off the map. The blast was heard 25 miles away.
Noel has never been the same since. It used to be a nice vacation retreat in SW Missouri.

Back in 1974, I had a propane dealer in New Mexico tell me to try and get on Natural Gas as propane then was higher than a cat’s back.

Depends on your location.
We had propane heating in the 60’s in Mississippi that was very cheap!..................

Are Trump, Pete, and Joe going there? Aren’t they supposed to go to every train accident?
