Right, considering I supported him originally before he even announced when most on this board still supported Cruz or others. I live, work and breath in white suburban America - the women just cannot stand him. And Trump cannot just tweak his language 15% to be fine no matter what. I’m not anti-Trump - I would be fine if DJT was re-elected - he just won’t be - even if he wins the R nom. When white suburban women are voting 65-35% for D, vs 55%-45% R before, and getting worse, its not going to turn around.
Karl Rove what does that tell you about DeSantis.
Age is tough to say - could be no issue at all but you never know when your mental health (or physical health) could deteriorate rapidly at that age. But yeah he has zero chance with the soccer moms at this point. Even ones I know that voted for him in 2016 were split in 2020 and 90% don’t want him as the Nom in 2024.
If you demonstrate at CPAC that few want you, I guess it is meaningless to you.

Some folks want to kill the messenger (you). But you are correct. I also have talked to folks who had voted for Trump previously, but will not consider him now. Those folks cannot see the forest because of the trees. Pity.
It is, however, not too late. Trump can still do a minor course correction, and start to win back the middle. The country would benefit greatly from that. Unfortunately I don’t think Trump has it in him. “Trump has got to be Trump” might be true. But it’s a losing strategy. A little fitness is really needed here.

The CPAC straw poll might be meaningless to a turd eating RINO like Karl Rove but it means an awful lot to the people who hand out the money.
And that’s what CPAC is really about and that’s fundraising.

Then, one starts to see who is lining up behind Desantis and now he just looks like another GOPe stooge who'll say what he needs to say to get elected, then knife conservatives in the back once elected.
Obviously, he's been a very good governor but I can't get excited over someone who is receiving the types of endorsements he is gathering.

ALWAYS REMEMBER that Bush was also a VERY GOOD governor, we had such hopes!! EVERYONE just needs to look at what an outcast they have made Trump as a previous POTUS, Trump is NOT a member of their club even though he is a previous POTUS!! Trump is NOT included in ANYTHING that previous presidents are included in, that should tell ALL to everyone!!!
