“The Deep State is running scared now that the House is controlled by Republicans who are exposing their actions for the last two years.”

************

So far we haven’t seen much in the way of action from the Republicans, aside from McCarthy giving Fox access to the J6 videos. It will take awhile for hearings to reveal more about Deep State shenanigans and subterfuge.

That said, Elon Musk and Tucker have done more than their share of work to expose the Deep State. The question is will Republicans do anything with the the “head start” they’ve been given?

The trouble with Republicans is, to them, politics is just a child’s game where nobody except Republicans AND THEIR FAMILIES should get hurt. To the far left Dung beetles, politics is a bloody war where everyone who is not an obedient Dung beetle is supposed to constantly get their asses kicked.

National Review was always the “gate keepers” for allowable conservative thought in America .
At least before they had William F Buckley who was smart and had a sense of humor.
Now? I don’t know why it still exists

When elected officials get to the Swamp its not long before they become representatives of DC instead of the states that sent them there. DC becomes their home base.

Money quote

[[ “By controlling the images that you were allowed to view from January 6, they controlled how the public understood that day,” Carlson declared. “They could lie about that day, and you would never know the difference.”]]

Exactly! Any govenrment that can’t stand for the truth to be known, can’t stand transparency, is obviously up to no good. The more the gov and ilk protest the footage, the more they prove that they are up to no good, and that they don’t want the public to see proof of what real.y happened happened that day.

The old saying “Methinks the lady doth protest too much” is very apropos here! She protests, too much because she is afraid of being found out!

That would be this National Review, correct?

Interesting to note that ones like Katie Pavlich and Thomas Sowell actually changed and are now very much supportive of Trump, IIRC.

I saw Tucker’s first night, not the second (yet).

The video of the QAnon Shaman walking of his own volition with and by multiple police officers makes a strong impression. If you received a friendly escort by police, would you think you were doing anything wrong? Would you expect to go to jail for four years?

I’ve previously seen video of police opening the Capital building doors from the inside, motioning people to come in. I hope Tucker re-posts that at some point.

Tucker showed video of a police officer that had been reportedly killed earlier. Maybe I’m missing something. I could use some time-stamp information. Also I could not see the face. I could benefit from additional information to identify the officer. I expect Tucker is right, but he may have rushed his presentation.

If Ray Epps was not working for law enforcement, wouldn’t they have pursued him at some point? I believe the authorities have hunted down others who had far less involvement.

It seems reasonable to conclude that Epps was working for the Feds. Why did he urge people to go into the Capital?

Tucker’s video shows a large number of people acting peaceably and some acting violently. These are two different groups of people. Yet the MSM/Democrat narrative present them as one.

You would expect the feds to go after the violent offenders. But that seems not to have been the case.

Buckley attended Yale as an undergraduate. He wrote his first book, God and Man at Yale after graduation, a scathing expose and analysis of higher education’s hypocrisy even in 1951. His first book and it launched his career as a lifetime commentator.

Tucker dashed NR’s hopes of a historical news story and Tucker performed brilliantly.

William F. Buckley, Jr. is rolling over in his grave. The National Review isn’t good enough to line a bird cage these days. I’m positive their lack of subscribers attest to that fact.

Of course, it’s NR. Don’t expect anything less from them.

How anyone could be surprised that NR hired Noah Rothman to be their Trump hitman through 2024 could only equal Rothman's surprise when NR fires him the day after the election.

Some pre-Schadenfreude there.

Who? Does anyone read that rag anymore? National Review is exactly the type of professional conservatism that resulted in Liberalism winning most of the cultural and economic battles of the past couple decades. They write nice articles, but their principles stop them from doing what it takes to win or fight back.

Didn’t Buckley go to Yale?

Yes, hence his first major tome, God and Man at Yale - The Superstitions of "Academic Freedom"

Would he recognize NR today? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I went to Townhall.com for the first time in years. They support Carlson but have little of substance to add so far.

I saw an older video from Kash Pattel at the EpochTimes. He responded several times to rush demands from the J-6 Committee, but they never used the information that he supplied. Since his information did not support their story, they did not use it.

His point, a significant one I think, is that President Trump offered the use of the National Guard for crowd control. It was Nancy Pelosi and Mayor Muriel Bowser who said “no.”

Why did Trump authorize deployment of the National Guard? Why did the Democrats say “no?” It would be fun to hear from both sides, consider history and precedent, and judge for oneself the credibility of the claims. As it stands, the most charitable explanation is that Nancy and Muriel made the wrong decision.

Indeed the J6 Committee was as bogus as the 20202 election foot and finger prints and video all over the place.

The lefts only defense is always the same lie and deny.
