only because Russia remains a warmongering menace that keeps attacking & invading its neighbors

Not our problem as long as Russia does not invade a NATO nation.

But we keep expanding NATO and US taxpayers keep paying for the defense of more and more people with nothing in return.

This will only result in the collapse of the US. But you are OK with your overlords.

we keep expanding NATO

there you go with the Russian propaganda again

uh, "we" are not expanding NATO

NATO is a voluntary organization, so if NATO is "expanding", it's only because other countries, afraid of being attacked and invaded by Russia, want to join for mutual protection

US taxpayers keep paying for the defense of more and more people with nothing in return

well, except peace and freedom ... oh right, I forgot, you Russian cheerleaders don't care about those, that's why you like Russia

I can’t entirely disagree.

However, one A-10 can eradicate more Russian armor in a matter of a few minutes than a rocket equipped drone. I think that at present, the drones are artillery spotters. Drones are quite effective supporting the tank killing guns. There is a lot of video of drones dropping small charges on Russian tanks with great success. That is especially true when the grenade is dropped directly into an open hatch.

My point is that perhaps, even probably, An A-10 might be more effective in the current context than F-16’s. Apparently, There are quite a few Russian made fighters being contributed to Ukraine. The Ukranian pilots are familiar with the Russian made planes.

The countries donating the Russian planes will replace them with new and better American planes. So, in the end our industry still gets to make the sale

Ask the A-10 pilots if they want to go up against Russia’s air defense system, with no air cover

This isn’t DESERT STORM

The planes are not flying over Russia but over occupied Ukraine where even Russian radio communications are poor to nonexistent.

Its a legit question whether Poland is supplying the pilots for those planes.

They’ll get shot down either way.

Nature abhors a vacuum. I guess you would prefer the Swedes get the business vs a US company?

Spoken like someone who doesn't understand C-UAS...

Well I, for one am tired of our country being the ones spending our money in defense of “more and more” people in other countries for “peace and freedom” when those same countries aren’t spending much or doing much to defend their own countries for “peace and freedom” and “mutual protection” but rely on us to do most of it for them. And we have been doing it for decades! I agree we need to help our allies but we are doing the lion’s share of the work here.

A-10s are NOT credited with the destruction on the Highway of Death. Played only a minor role - destruction mostly done by F-15s, F-16s, and AC-130s

NO an A-10 cannot. Its only good in an uncontested air space in a low intensity conflict against enemy infantry. All else is internet fiction.

F-16 would be far more effective in seeing threats which the A-10 is blind to, and far more effective against armor and other treats than the lumbering target of an A-10.

Ukraine does NOT want A-10s!!!

They are doing a lot of heavy lifting now and that is increasing day by day as they come to understand what is at stake and what will happen by inaction.

There is not much reported in the mainstream news which belies the truth.

Why isn’t it reported? Why isn’t there embedded reporters on the ground like they were for other conflicts? If we have to have skin in the game by sending billions of $$ and equipment shouldn’t we have the ability to see what is actually happening there? Of course I admit I don’t watch MSM shows much at all anymore but are they actually showing this war on a nightly basis or just “snap-shots” here and there?

Incorrect

14 countries added to NATO since TFOTUSSR

after we promised not to

A major contribution to Russia insisted a missle range insulation belt between them and NATO

Why isn’t it reported?

Your guess is as good as mine - but I lean to media America haters trying to build on the idea that the US is alone or mostly alone in support of Ukraine.

No one ever reports that the high price of food in the US is a direct result of the war. When a considerable portion of the world’s grain and fertilizer is taken off the market, as has happened in Ukraine, then grain and fertilizer prices in the US rise commensurately as meat and agricultural products rise with the expense of growing/raising them. Same goes for steel and other metals which are now off the world market because of the Russian invasion.

Why isn’t there embedded reporters on the ground like they were for other conflicts?

Because the Russians specifically targeted and killed over 40 journalists during the first phases of the war.

LOL, a "missle range insulation belt". Just like liberals who contort the definition of the English language. Putin wanted NATO withdrawal from eastern Europe, which would enact Russian hegemony over Poland, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, and the Balkan countries and not a "missle range insulation belt".

after we promised not to

wrong - no such promise was never made

NATO is a voluntary organization ... if countries want to join, that's up to them

and again, the point you Russian apologists keep missing is ... the ONLY reason NATO exists is because Russia is still an ongoing warmongering menace to all its neighbors

duh
