Only thing I liked about him was he was a good, effective governor of Florida. Now he’s just another sh!t-heel.
BTW, I lived in Florida for a few years, and hated every minute of it, for reasons having nothing to do with who’s governor.

Just out if curiously, what governor currently in the US has done a better job of governing than DeSantis? And what actions as governor has he taken do you disagree with? And what would you have done differently.
As best as I can tell, many people HATE DESANTIS BECAUSE HE HAS BEEN AN ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING GOVERNOR.
However, there’s no way he wins the primary. Trump has a solid 30 to 35% of the overall electorate, and a higher percentage of Republicans, who will only vote for him. He also is the only Republican candidate who has significant support beyond traditional Republican voters. I like Ron DeSantis, but his timing is terrible and it could disrupt Republicans’ chances of winning back the presidency. He also has all the wrong new “friends” funding and advising him, which is a giant red flag.
We don’t have any shots left after 2024 to try to save this country, and if we succeed against all of the outrageous crap the dems will throw at our candidate, whoever he is, and against the massive fraud that we know is coming, it will be essential for the new President to have the steely resolve to drop a political hydrogen bomb on the corrupt degenerate political class. No Koch, Murdoch, Ryan, Rove, Bush-backed candidate will EVER be allowed to do that. Only Trump is detached enough from those weasels to do what needs to be done.
Ron could sit down and STHU. Republicans stand firm and ready to lose everything just to get rid of Trump. Once again republican colors shine bright.

Has he said he isn't? What is this all about if he isn't running? Yes, Ron is running, a shadow campaign. I know he and Nicki both lied when they said if Trump enters the race they would not run against him. Ron is lying (perfect politician) and he is lawless, 'resign to run' is still Florida Law.
DeSantis does not put fire in my belly. He’s not a leader in my eyes. Look at the people around him and the types he’s attracting here.
I always we knew we had many closet Romneyites on this forum.
I'd vote for whoever pledges to (or at least will try to) dismantle the deep state. I have yet to hear that from DeSantis.
Trump went after the wrong guy this time. DeSantis will clobber him.
