I think you mean “privileges”, not “pillages”-autocorrect is an invention of the devil-do not trust it-grammar is not in there...

Judge. Definition: A failed lawyer.

“Where was this judge when Jack Ryan was going to run against Obama for Senate and the Chicago Tribune got his divorce records unsealed?”

I believe that’s the point I realized that for the left “anything goes if it works in our favor” was their motto. They demand that THEIR actions be hidden under the rights of privacy, historical standards, and the law. But when it comes to conservatives, all information should be revealed and legal action taken, even if they were just defending a democrat on the same issue just a few days or weeks before.

The judges who agree with these two standards of justice, and even write such into their opinions is going to be one of the main causes of the down-fall of our nation.

In the past, you could read a judge’s opinion on a case, and see how it was based upon Constitutional law. You may not agree with it, but you understood the reasoning. Beginning with Roe v Wade, that changed (it is great that decision based on faulty reasoning was finally overturned). Now, they can twist the words of the Constitution in order to apply laws one way against conservatives and just the opposite when it comes to progressives.

Actually, before Roe v Wade. Griswold v. Connecticut cited a “right to privacy@ as being within the penumbra of the Constitution. That precedent was a cornerstone of Roe v Wade.

I am no judge, but I had thought of that statement independently. I decided to ask myself if there was a case where my judicial decision would vary with my personal preference. I came up wit one.

There was a time when it was illegal at the state level in many states for attorneys to advertise their services. This Tradition was wiped out in a Supreme Court Case in 1977 on 1st and 14th Amendment grounds. I agree with the reasoning, but think the world would be a better place if lawyer advertising were extremely heavily regulated (Yellow Pages ad, simple web page with no sponsored links, business cards, letterhead, a shingle). But I could not justify it once we accept that the First Amendment applies to the several States.

Yep whoever came up with spell check is a hero. Whoever came up with autofill should be flogged and then flogged again.

This is actually common. Just because you get dragged in for child support doesn’t mean everyone gets to see your financial information

If his last name was Trump, all of the information would’ve already leaked.

Someday, Hunter’s sins will find him out, and hopefully beat the crap out of him in some dark alley!

I wouldn’t worry. They will leak. Or maybe James O’Keefe has a plant working at the court already.

If this were Trump, a source familiar with the case would have leaked it out and the Judge would do nothing.

“If his last name was Trump, all of the information would’ve already leaked.”

_______

And the people saying the “right to privacy” is a reason for the judge shielding the evidence all ignore the fact that when it is a conservative, judges invoke the “public’s right to know” rule. I would be fine if such a reasoning was applied equally across party lines, but it is not.

In addition, any shielded information regarding a conservative is always leaked to the NYTimes or WaPo by a democrat operative. All with no repercussions. Much as the grand jury’s upcoming indictment of Trump was leaked to the NYTimes a week or so before Trump even made mention of it. Then, the action indictment itself was leaked before any official statement by the DA’s office.

However, Trump was blamed for mentioning the matter in his social media statement and accused of trying to draw attention to himself. And the question as to who leaked the Grand Jury information will never be questioned, even though doing so was a felony.

Republicans fall prey to the “double-standards” play every time. They agree to play by rules set by the left, while the left doesn’t even pretend to play by those same rules. Such acquiescence to the left’s demands is what has brought our country on its current path of destruction.

A judge can extra money by giving speeches and receiving payoffs.
