What’s the bottom line?

Big profits for the manufacturer, and incremental disarmament of the civilian population.

Making this kind of feature mandatory on all civilian firearms is the next step. Prohibiting the sale or possession of unauthorized firearms without this mandated feature is the next step after that.

Firearms so equipped will be useless for anything other than simple target practice. And they will be triple in price to the older firearms. All of that is intentional.

"It's for the children".

I wouldn’t trust that the moment the SHTF! I don’t use my car’s fingerprint system because it doesn’t work half the time.

Will the “smart gun” have a keypad to punch in a passcode when the fingerprint sensor doesn’t work?

That shouldn’t be a problem. All you have to do is ask the burglar or assailant to wait a moment while you punch in the code.

They are so anti LEO at this point. it is hard to say what would happen.

But at some point there needs to be a equal protection suit.

Where the arguement is made that civilians being forced to use these “consumer safety” products where Leo is exempt is not legal.

“What’s the bottom line?”

As you say, disarmament, mandatory for gun owners, pretty much the end to our Second Amendment society.

And what are many conservative gun owners doing - sitting on their butts and REFUSING to vote for Republicans in November elections, because so-and-so Republican is a RINO.

So don’t come crying to me when the Democrat-packed courts simply DECLARE that the Second Amendment was a mistake and no longer applies, because once they have the votes on the courts, that’s what they will IMMEDIATELY do.

And don’t bother telling me you won’t give up your guns - the gun-grabbers won’t care, as they’ll know they can lock you up for 10 to 20 years if any cop gets a whiff of your now-illegal gun, such as after a self-defense shooting, at the range (or your backyard), on the table when police show up for another reason, an ex-lover or your kid/grandkid/friend ratting you out, etc.

The old west gunfighters were able to draw, shoot and hit a target in little over a quarter second.

1 second to authorize is way, way too slow.

You would be riddled with holes before your gun authorized you to protect yourself.

One for the left hand. Another for the right.
Which one did I pick up?

They will mandate it.

I believe that some states already have. As soon as such a ‘smart gun’ becomes commercially available, sales are to be restricted to only those kinds of firearms. I’m sure police will be exempted from the requirement.

Government agencies should be the first to be required to adopt such technology. Kind of serve as a test bed for the general population.

Yes, should implement with government first, let them beta test that to confirm it is safe and reliable before suggesting the public gets it.

This company needs to be snubbed and completely ignored. Any company who would even entertain this technology needs to be shutdown.

These have been around for years. There are all kinds of problems with them, they are expensive and they are unreliable. That’s why nobody buys them.

And the FBI will decide if it can be unlocked.

It is a trojan horse effort to change the market and then mandate. It is the who’s who of leftist liberal antigun companies.

I had to get fingerprinted for a permit I needed. My hands tend to get torn up when I’m working with wood due to eczema. The technician had to reshoot my fingerprints about ten times to get a useable set.

Yea, I’m gonna rush right out and buy a gun with electronic parts and zero record of being a gun company.

They didn’t have to do take the spike protein shots.

They should have been the “test bed.”
