No. He is too left for me. My point was, today he would not be allowed in the Democrat Party. And Nixon was to the left of him.
JFK would fit in fine with today’s party, he was even pro-abortion.
No major politician from the 1950s would fit into this democrat party with the face he was showing to 1950s America, but that isn’t who they would be today.
WWII Lieutenant Commander Nixon and his veep WWII hero Colonel Henry Cabot Lodge Jr. were not even close to being to the left of JFK and LBJ, if Nixon had won in 1960 then America would be alive today, and there would not have been this 3rd world mass-immigration, no Vietnam war so no 1960s as we know it, Nixon might not have signed the affirmative action law in 1961, and would not have signed legislation to empty the mental hospitals in 1963 or unionized the federal government.
In 1960 Nixon was Ike’s veep, you are thinking of the post-JFK/LBJ Nixon that had to contend with post-1960s American liberalism.
