We used to call them “bookbags”. I guess kids don’t need schoolbooks anymore.

Remember when you were a kid and you would hollow out a book for a place to hide your secret stash? When I was a kid, we carried home stacks of books for homework, and apparently only the military had backpacks at that time. We managed.
I never owned a back pack. That’s what lockers are for. The books I did take home (rarely) I CARRIED! Yes I just CARRIED them. What a novel idea!
Sometimes I would carry a girls books for her.

About 56% black population in the city, I expect the school system is even higher.
Blacks need to fix their culture. There, I said it.
This is true. When you look at recent school shooters, they literally walked in. While a locked door is not a guarantee 100%, it’s way better than the “it could never happen here” mentality.
My kids have had several hours of homework since kindergarten.
Books come home every night.
