I knew a guy who, I was once told, did three tours in Vietnam as a door gunner, because he liked it. He had a name that would not be out of place in the Wehrmacht.

He had PTSD. The military needs to provide a better support system. I agree that military wives should be more helpful but this is America and they're not going to do that.

At jump school, a guy drove up to speak to the black hat, when he drove off the black hat told us that if we see the guy to avoid him, he was getting out of the army because after 3 tours in Vietnam, they wouldn’t send him back and he was going back on his own to keep fighting, the black hat said the guy was hooked on the fighting.

Yeah. He went AWOL and then reappeared in Ukraine fighting the Russians. OTOH I say good for him. On the other he really let a lot of people down.
