Without JFK’s immigration, America would have remained American, with left/right political cycles and Protestant religious revivals/roaring 20s, ups and downs, but once the Americans were replaced/outnumbered, there was no America anymore and there will never be America again, regardless of how we elect Senators or whether we are on the gold standard or not.
We might someday return to the gold standard and choose our senators, things that any country, including this one, can do and it would not make it America.
Mercenaries, one and all. Paid from the $$BB and $$BB of dollars being sent to Ukraine. Probably tax-free, (the less anyone knows about them the better), and probably enough to be comfortably set for a middle-class American life, notwithstanding a chronic and ongoing Jones for more thrill-seeking either in another war somewhere else or on a ski slope somewhere, or whatever.
Ukraine is attracting the same idealist mercenaries that were so common during the Reagan years, not money based but wanting to fight for Rhodesia, or South Africa, or fight communists in Latin America, and Africa.
