I thought that in 2016 when I first heard about it. This is the biggest political scandal of the Obama era. The lack of outrage and accountability is unAmerican. If this happened to Hillary, I would be just as outraged.

Durham prosecutions failed because of DC’s culture of corruption and extreme partisanship. Trump probably can’t sue even the named individuals because of sovereign immunity but it doesn’t mean he shouldn’t try.

The next Republican government, no matter who is potus, has to be serious about Justice reform and accountability. Justice cannot be unaccountably partisan and weaponized to influence elections and undermine a duly elected president.

The FBI should be disarmed and have no powers of arrest. They should be re-structured as an investigative body that can only function when asked in by local or state police, essentially a glorified forensic lab. The ATF should be treated the same way.

For those not old enough to remember, Watergate had absolutely no effect on the re-election of Richard Nixon in 1972 in which Nixon won 49 states’ Electoral Votes. So, you are correct, Russia, Russia, Russia! was far more sinister and malicious than Watergate.

the ONLY similarity to Watergate was that it was an insider, deep-state and state-run media take down of a GOP President, organized by the FBI

LBJ did not orchestrate the Watergate hoax. (And Nixon was actually involved in a hamfisted cover up, out of loyalty to subordinates, a trait foreign to any Obama or Clinton.) Obama and Hillary Clinton actually orchestrated the Russia hoax.

while incredibly foolish, i can sort of understand where Nixon was coming from on Watergate...him and the media were at war with each other...he truly hated them and they him. And i think he got as involved as he did was just to “beat” the media over this stupid, minor event. He had just won an all time beat down re election...his approval was at 73% in January of 1973, when the cover up blew wide open. The videos of all those incredible POW’s coming home from Vietnam was really something special. He was on top of the World, then boom, they got him.....

Trump came down the escalator .. and the deep state thought “this won’t go very far”... but by the time November came around, Trump was getting more popular. He spent 4 years being a great President for the people. That didn’t set well with the deep state that had already put a claim on this country. They were not about to turn it over to this NY real estate guru and the rich guy spending a fortune making his way in the world.

He was way too popular and threatened them by being an honest man working for the people. The thrashing machine began their work to rid the country of any good person.. and the coup was formed.. they spent all this time trying to secure their corrupt power to rule.
