In Watergate, a sitting President ruined himself by covering up a senseless campaign-office break-in that had no meaningful effect on the outcome of the election. The FBI leaked everything to the media.
In the Russian Collusion Hoax, the FBI, DoJ, CIA, the State Dept, the entire news media, the entire Democrat Party, and a large part of the Republican Party conspired to create an enormous lie to frame and ruin numerous innocent men, cripple a Presidency, and change the outcome of the 2020 election. If Russian Collusion was like emptying out the Fort Knox gold vaults, Watergate would be like receiving two cents extra change giving it back.
And from which perspective? Didn't Nixon win by one of the largest electoral landslide in US history? And weren't three-letter agencies US gov't intimately involved in the Watergate burglary? That Watergate was a setup seems more likely than ever.
In any case, the deep state got what it wanted.
