We’ll see. The idea is to allow only the elites the ability to travel at their leisure, while the rest of us have to deal with trains and buses like it’s 1940. There aren’t enough rare earth minerals on this planet to commit to all-electric fleets for the West, let alone the rest of the world AND renewables. It just won’t happen.
Which I suppose is why they’re trying to blow up the economy so people can’t afford to eat; massive famine and death.
Assuming cars are still going to be allowed to be sold in the quantities they are currently being sold, there isn’t enough copper being mined in the world to meet this requirement, much less the rare earth metals needed to make the batteries.
Are the sane and rational waking from their slumber?
Violates the mandate that the US be a republic...it completely cuts out the roll of Congress....which also violates A1 S1.
“Weโll see. The idea is to allow only the elites the ability to travel at their leisure, while the rest of us have to deal with trains and buses like itโs 1940.”
Exactly.
Only the beautiful people will have convenient transportation. It’s tiny apartments and buses for the rest of us.
And, big bonus for them. They will have uncrowded freeways driving to their jobs as they force us off the roads.
“Assuming cars are still going to be allowed to be sold in the quantities they are currently being sold, there isnโt enough copper being mined in the world to meet this requirement, much less the rare earth metals needed to make the batteries.”
That just drives up the price of copper etc (and therefore the only legal cars) so that only our ruling class can afford to own a car.
EV’s are not the way, not at all.
EV’s are good for siphoning off public funds.
They’re good for virtue signaling, conversation starters and super neat toys to show your friends.
Raise your hand if you really believe that we are transitioning to electric vehicles. ๐
hope you like riding the bus
cuz thats what most will be doing
I’d like to hear each candidate running for the Republican nomination explain in detail what they will do to permanently stop the EPA in this insanity. The EPA is part of the Executive Branch - it does not have any Constitutional power to unilaterally impose electric vehicles on Americans.
Not even that. Without diesel you cannot farm efficiently enough to feed more than maybe 10% of our current population.
So the actual plan is that you die.
Which is what the evil people who invented the whole CO2 scam wanted to accomplish in the first place. "Climate change" is just a means to that end.
Meanwhile the elites make themselves even richer.
Most electric car owners charge their electric cars at night. However the power infrastructure depends on less electricity usage at night so the electric grid lasts longer. The EPA will be forced to change its plans.
EPA can’t even transition itself to electric vehicles. FOIA the GSA fleet lease records related to EPA and I suspect you’ll find far more 4x4 SUVs and diesel pickups than hybrids and pure EVs.
I propose that we take the stress off the grid by powering charging stations with local windmills and solar cells only at each station. Letโs see how fast the idea of pushing electric cars onto the public changes when the stations get their power locally by NOT being connected to the grid in any manner.
transitioning into electric is transitioning into control over us
“hope you like riding the bus

It will be like riding the NYC subway in every community in America. Thugary will be off the chart.

In reality the EPA can’t make law or rules, on Congress can.
