Juneteenth is totally real — or was.
It was a grass roots organic celebration that naturally came about.
It is usurped and twisted now.
It’s not ersatz like Kwanza.
Again, though, this recent usurpation by the left and our illegitimate cartel running the country has destroyed it.
” the name “Juneteenth”.”
XD XD
Democrats gonna’ Democrat.
I can’t believe they made this a holiday. I wonder how the hell they’re going to claw this one back. I don’t really see a way.
“Woke” means never having to believe in or adhere to anything.
Excellent photo and verbage.
ok
My comparing it to Kwanza was in how by making it national what meaning there was has all been hollowed out. Its now just a word that has been co-opted for political purposes. Now it’s an “in-your-face” thing which will give cover to uncivil behavior.

Nope. It’s diversity don’t you know. If blacks can substitute for whites, then whites can substitute for blacks.
Anne Bolynn was not black. Neither was Hamilton. The little mermaid was written by a Dane.
I got a great idea.
Let the complainers celebrate it ... in Liberia.

They are never grateful. After trillions in welfare, they still hold up the middle finger to us.
Juneteenff should never have been set up.
I think Greenville put white people on the poster to attract white people to the festival. If the Juneteenth festival was advertised as a black festival, white people wouldn’t attend.
black fifth of may...
Without White people, there would not have been any emancipation.
they did nothing compared to the clintons
“They celebrate juneteenth because they cant celebrate fathers day,,,
Truth!!!!”
Bro!
And while blacks are only 13% of the population, when you watch TV, a majority of ads seem to be opened by or completely dominated by blacks but I don’t hear them complaining about that.
So segregation is good after all.
What I found to be hilarious was the white left-wing condescension backfiring.
Don’t worry about me gentrifying Juneteenth. I don’t celebrate it or any holiday pandering to identity collectives
Actually it’s when news reached Galveston that the South had surrendered and the war was over, meaning that the slaves were now free. Maybe a few hundred blacks in the Galveston area actually got the news on June 19, 1865, because it would have taken time for the news to spread to other parts of Texas.
