Yes, and this is what people always fail to understand when it comes to Nixon.

Nixon, should have been a liberal icon, judging on the legislation that happened on his watch.

Who will be the next Atty. General under Trump. He or she would have to go after them, a condition of the job.

My candidate: Clarence Thomas. Payback’s a bitch.

He can argue that it started with Ronald Machen. And I can argue it started with Newt Gingrich, in 1995, when he failed to follow through on his Contract With America promises and zero out the Clinton Left’s budget priorities because the Woodwards and Bernsteins were calling him “mean spirited.”

Many of these fifth columnists would never have made their way into government in the first place had the Clinton Administration not been permitted to plant them there, unmolested, like little time bombs waiting to go off when needed to advance the Revolution’s interests. Of course, it isn’t entirely Gingrich’s fault - GWB left them all in place after his narrow win over Gore, because removing them would also have been “mean spirited.”

Obviously the CIA isn’t planting stories over the Biden Crime Family the way they did Nixon

Those things like the EPA and Price Controls are two things I hang around Nixon’s neck.

His long overdue bombing of Hanoi and the mining of Haiphong are two things that make up for those stupidities in my mind.

And one additional thing: Nixon didn’t do the things I dislike to line his own pockets. He did them because he misguidedly thought they were best for the country. In the he was mistaken.

And I don’t excoriate him for his overtures towards Communist China. He was looking for a geopolitical mechanism to confound the Soviets, and he thought being friendly with the Communist Chinese (who were not really on true friendly speaking terms with the Soviets at the time) was in our best interests, which the way we carried it out after that, was most definitely not, especially their ascension to membership in the WTO, which I hang on the Clinton and Bush administrations jointly.

Title IX, as well.

There isn’t any doubt in my mind that Nixon was a flawed leader.

But I do try to keep in mind that he was navigating very unique and difficult times, not only with respect to the Vietnam war, but due to social unrest as well.

I think his involvement in crimes he was impeached for were, absolutely 100%, no different than crimes of similar nature that other presidents have been involved in over the course of our country‘s existence.

He just had the misfortune of being one who did those things other presidents have done over the years, but having the rules and circumstances changed midstream on him by people and entities with a virulent hatred towards him.

One would say, much like President Donald J Trump.

"Newt Gingrich: Where Are Woodward And Bernstein When We Need Them?"

Probably inventing a literary device who they called "Deep Throat" and to whom they could attribute all manner of unsubstantiated rumors.
