I dunno about other places, but the Chick-fil-As around here are always busy.
I retired last year from a federal law/Intel agency.
I was a supervisor.
It was so bad, that they mandated vaccines, required Covid tests, took peoples sick leave and sent them home for suspicion of Covid against their will (even if they said they weren’t sick)... The same went for LGBTQIA, where they required people to attend “training” and coerced them into attending BS extra crap which was in part paid for by the division (tax money), on government time, in government facilities.
You may have missed what’s happened in the last 20 or so years.
This isn’t a free country anymore, neither for its citizens nor most business. You are required to play the games and if you refuse, you get punished, a label is slapped on your forehead and you’re ostracized, made into a pariah. Climate change, Covid, LGBTQ, it don’t matter, whatever the flavor of the day is, you better order it and smile while you’re swallowing.

And all the folks that supported them in 2012, good for them, truly. But most of them have fallen away, while all the pain for Chick-fil-A is still there.

If you’re a small business, in the right place and have the right customers, you’re ok. But for the rest of the world, even foreign countries on entirely different continents, you better prostate yourself to these BS causes, or else.
Was playing a game with friends over the memorial Day weekend and one of the questions where you write down your answer and they try to guess who said what was if you were on an airplane and it was about to crash who would you want to have seated next to you? Right away GS was my answer.
Actually, I thought they had a good product, but that doesn’t matter anymore to me. I disagree with their politics and the only way I can voice that disagreement is to stop buying their products until I see their politics change.
Diversity, inclusion and equity are irrelevant. Excellence is most important.

I couldn’t wait to get out of that political $hithole. You could get rid of 50% of the FBI and they could do their job just as well. Think I’m over exaggerating? During Covid 3/4 were sent home for as much as 6 months to sit on their thumb and pretend to do something. What changed? Nothing.
But what they are good at is lots of diversity training, a special emphasis group every month being celebrated, directors messages every month about some diversity issue, diversity hiring, creating a position for a senior executive as the head of diversity and inclusion (what do they do?)...
Between homo, feminist, black, Pacific islander, Latino, LGBTQ... I can honestly say 25% of my time was utterly wasted, doing junk for diversity or because some senior executive in DC lied, cheated, abused their powers, or leaked something again and now all the nugs in the field needed to receive “training” so that the director can show action fixing a problem.
I sometimes get asked if I miss it. I just say, “I’m glad I’m retired.”
Ok... then they sold out for money to expand into areas that hated them. That’s my point.
I have no use for them anymore. Their schtik of being Christian matters not. There is no reason to patronize them.

But they were a small business, in the right place, and had a rock solid following of the right customers who loved them for their backbone. But they wanted to grab radical leftists and keep the Christians. So they embraced faggotry.
They clearly don’t need me as a customer anymore.

You’re not being realistic. There is a difference between doing the minimum required and standard to comply, and leaning forward like Budweiser did.
Name me a major national chain which has a physical presence that isn’t playing along to some degree?
72% of Americans support the LGBTQIA cause and while bandwagon is no argument regards its morality or practicality, you’re trying to sell to these people and it does matter if you’re a business.
Furthermore, LGBTQIA has become a protected class and the federal government is setting the standards regards what’s expected. They are the single biggest employer in the nation, ~25% of the nations GDP by themselves, and if you fall out of their parameters you become a target for scrutiny. If you don’t play along you’ll face repercussions. It’s no longer a choice/ option at this point.

Chick-fil-A, IMHO is simply meeting the established minimum societal, corporate and legal standards.
There is a big difference between doing what you need to do in order to advert trouble, and leaning forward like AB did.
You can play the game to stay out of trouble, or you can be carrying the flag out front and pushing the agenda like Google.
The real jerks who are out front pushing this crap are: Apple, Amazon, MicroSoft, IBM, Visa, Coca-Cola , PayPal... Amazon is horrible, a major force offering free LGBTQIA movies (advertising) etc.

An important part of justice, or winning a war, is to make sure you go after the actual culprit/enemy.
Another way to put this: A random hanging of a reluctant follower that was conscripted in a war, isn’t how you win this.
