Jonathan Turley is a level headed guy and one of the few experts on law who has been very critical of the Dem’s legal cases against Trump. He’s basically been on Trump’s side, until the documents case.
Bothers me a lot that he thinks Trump is in serious trouble on the documents case and that the prosecution isn’t just relying on political B.S., like Bragg is doing in NY in the hush money trial.
Wow! You mean that after only 7 years of investigations and false allegations, the Bureau of Fidelity, Bravery and “Integrity” has “finally” uncovered the “evidence” by which they will convict the people’s choice? I think that the powers of darkness are trying to provoke a resort to real violence! Why else would they insist on shoving these absurdities in our faces?

Just the fact that he’s framing this indictment as if it were legitimate, tells you all you need to know about this disingenuous POS.
For example, the whole obstruction charge is built around a theory that Trump having some boxes moved from the storage area to where he could work on them was an attempt to prevent his attorneys from finding any classified documents.
The DOJ lista all kinds of texts, phone calls, etc. all of which suggest nothing more than Trump wanted to get some boxes moved to another place.
If Trump was actually trying to obstruct the investigation why didn't he do something like ask for all the boxes with supposedly classifed documents? He did not do that. Instead he asked something like "bring me another 10 boxes so I can sort through them".
The evidence as presented by the DOJ itself shows the opposite of what they think it does. It shows Trump made no efforts to conceal the existence of the documents - which he could have just shredded if he wanted to - but simply that during the process his attorneys only looked at some of the total set of boxes, not all of them.
The indictment is weak, and the facts are not nearly as "devastating" as the set of facts regarding Hillary Clinton and her email server that the DOJ decided would not merit prosecution.

Even as every allegation against Trump has found to be based upon lies, McCarthy has remained a true believer. And that’s after writing a book setting out the DOJ/FBI/HRC corruption early on in the Russia/Trump collusion investigation.
McCarthy still insists that the DOJ/FBI and his former employers are honest, principled, and upright law enforcement agencies who will always do things “by the book”. Except in Trump’s case that phrase means “throw the book” at the accused.
McCarthy will always stand on the side of the federal government no matter the number of crimes they commit.
