There’s a basic difference between guessing wrong and outright lying. And Jones was a knowing liar.
Jones own words were used against him in the Sandy Hook trial. He was caught on tape saying that he knew all along that his “it was a hoax” story was a lie. He did it anyway because conspiracy crap was making him rich.
