Methinks the Italians doth protests too much.
A few years back when Joe Rogan was doing FEAR FACTOR the contestants had to eat cheese loaded with LIVE MAGGOTS!!!
And it looked bad.
A friend of my wife said her parents and relatives back in Italy love the stuff! Called casu martzu!
