I agree that this event was for show also. A way to move the Wagner troops uncontested. Now they are poised to hit Kiev (key-ev).

My question would be how could Putin afford not to purge the rogue general?

In the military, if you allow a subordinate to openly challenge your authority, you are done. Prigozhin is very popular, and Putin had to have seen video of Russians cheering him in the streets, even after his troops shot down 6 Russian aircraft and killed an unknown number of their crew. That makes Pigozhin very dangerous.

Of course, we have no idea where he really is, and he could pop up any day. Maybe back in Africa. But dead or jailed is quite possible. Putin doing it quietly would be proper caution considering Prig's public popularity. General Surovikin is also MIA. There are few riskier endeavors in Russia than crossing Putin.

Yevgeny Prigozhin didn’t kill himself.

“Prigozhin probably committed suicide. With six rifle shots.”

...and he was found at Ft. Marcy Park.

(just kidding)

The reality is nobody knows where all the money goes. Its an intentional financial labyrinth; a maze that beneath a smokescreen. That is no conspiracy theory.

I get the sense that you either don’t understand how it works, or you intentionally want to ignore how it works.

Arms transfers are done by virtually giving the receiving country a “store credit” and a list of the arms that are available. In the case of Ukraine, all of these available items are coming from existing stockpiles.

Nothing is being “bought” and aside from munitions, very little is being produced. The money has already been spent and the arms are generally a generation or two older than our existing arms.

Now, we can disagree with how and why those arms are being sent to Ukraine. But no cash is exchanged—at least not to the tune of “6 Billion dollars”. And $6 Billion dollars worth of arms being sold on the black market would be pretty easy to detect.

I get the sense that you’re arrogant. The real point is who is to say what really happens with the money that magically appears out of the blue? Trust me, it can be spread around just as magically. It all becomes fungible.

Ok. If you want to ignore how things work in the real world and listen to the Infowars guys…have fun.

Funny and a bit weird that you should assume that because I have no idea who the “Infowars guys” are that you’re attempting to associate with me. I take it to be a lame attempt at an ad hominem attack.

No, it’s the Alex Jones boys. They are promoting the $6 billion CIA payment to the Coup.

Not ad hominem at all. Just figured you were following their lead.
