I’ll give you my honest answer...
Anyone can have an opinion on any of it. But when that opinion translates into billions in cash and equipment being wasted on a war that a country cannot win and would not be in, at this point, while the US is being destroyed from within, I think there’s a problem and disconnect.
It’s a bona fide fact that Congress has not a care about any of us, except when they have to pay lip service to us at election time, but as long as there are any voices spouting off that Ukraine should get more help, they’re going to continue to send everything over there.
All of that, while millions pour across the border, unchecked and that bill has not come due yet. When it does, it’s going to be hefty and long term.
As for the US exerting influence....Absolutely NOT. If the US was just sticking to some type of humanitarian aid to help feed the Ukraine’s I wouldn’t have a problem with that, per se. But when we’re sending money to prop up and pay the salaries of their government officials, when we’re sending arms that are doing nothing but prolonging the inevitable, unless the US gets directly involved in the fighting. The US has to stop being the world’s policeman.
If the US pulled out of NATO, which, in my humble opinion is a relic from decades ago, the whole thing would be over. NATO without the US is nothing. Years ago the German army was training with broomsticks. Most of those militaries can barely function.
All those “partner nations”, part of the International Security Assistance Force in Afghanistan, completely relied on the US for everything but their party favors that were flown in.
I sure agree with you.
And the US paying for Ukraine pensions “as long as it takes” (Biden) while Europe spends zero.
Yup.
But it’s not just Biden. It’s congress as well. I’d say at least 85% or more are fully committed to sending anything and everything over there without caring one bit about the American people.
Agree. I quote Biden because “as long as it takes” expresses the mindless obsession so well.
