Only thing not ‘alleged’ is that the hospital care for these thieves will be paid for by the taxpayers. Nothing alleged about that.

The report said GUNSHOT NOT SHOTGUN.

Besides, if she had used a shotgun, all four would have been GUNSHOT.

"..Miller — with a gunshot wound to the back — remains stable in critical condition at Einstein Medical Center, the outlet reported.."

rktman :" ..Has the alleged home owner been arrested yet?

Burglary of an occupied building (apartment) is justifiable for discharge of a firearm, especially if you feel threatened.
Four (4) 'perps' is sufficient and defines justification.
The fact that one of the 'perps' was shot in the back is NOT suitable for a "Stand your Ground" defense.

Do the perps all get a homicide charge if she kills one of them?

With so many not knowing what a woman is they may be confused on the human part.

In this state, even more complicated.

If she arrived at home, door broken with fore able entry and she entered and shot them....bad for her.

The prosecutor will make a big thing out of the fact that she did not back off and call 911. In other words, she should have known of and avoided a dangerous situation.

On the other hand if she entered the front door unaware that bad guys had broken in the back door, she would have been unaware of the danger and put in danger not of her own making.

So it pays to be very careful that you nderstand the law.

Remember to always shoot center of mass. And try to be a bit quicker to get more of the four thugs. But getting two is good shooting too.

old curmudgeon :" ..So it pays to be very careful that you understand (sic) the law."

Valid point (!), and much of the circumstances were not included in the article.
Yes, you need to know the letter of the law, and also, how it is being applied by the local constabulary,
and executed by the local District Attorney.

Those Germans sure cause a ruckus.

My Dad and his brothers grew up in Germantown in Philadelphia. As an adult he ended up moving to SF. When visiting my cousin in Philly, I asked to see the place where my Dad grew up. She calmly said "Oh, that's not a place where you want to go. We never go there.". Apparently became a ghetto for blacks. My ancestors on my Dad's side go back to the 1840's in Germantown, after arrival on a boat from Germany.

As long as they were in the apartment, there’s no problem in with her shooting them in the back in Philadelphia. Besides, “in the back” covers a lot of area and angles.

They’ve already announced the shootings are considered self defense and no charges will be filed against the woman.

This would fall under the Castle doctrine, I believe.
