If sea levels are rising they would have started building seawalls around coastal cities like NYC decades ago due to the complexity.

They didn’t. So sea levels aren’t rising.

Will Obama’s seaside mansion be affected?

Great Lakes, Cheasapeake Bay, Lake Okeechobee [if they don’t drain it first]...

As the climate continues to warm, scientists predict flooding will become more common around the world.

It's air conditioners! Governments of the world must unite, and ban use of all air conditioners during summer! They are heat exchangers, dumping heat into the atmosphere and causing glaciers to melt. Government should ban all air travel while they're at it, those jet engines produce lots of hot gases. Heck, ban Democrats from getting together; they're major causes of hot air.

Sounds like “cartographic license” to me.

I have had one since 1976. Btw.

If those who made the map didn’t account for glacial isostasy, then the map is a fraud if it promotes ‘underwater’ as being entirely ‘sea level rise’.

Weren’t these places already supposed to be underwater by now?

When it doesn’t happen, they just move the goalposts back and ratchet up the Fear Machine.

Don’t tell me! It’s the same states that were supposed to be under water by 1960, 1980, 2000, 2020, etc. I’ve heard this tune before. By now, Florida was supposed to be under water, New York under ice, and I was promised beach front property here in northeast Georgia!

Ah, yes. “2050”. The unscientific well rounded number pulled out of some faux intellect’s azz. It’s ALWAYS a round number.

All he asphalt, cement, buildings, glass, insulation, asbestos, underground fuel tanks, ALL of the infrastructure, wiring... transformers... telephone poles... all that junk that doesn’t naturally belong there. You know... Since we’re so green and all...

Such stuff and nonsense.
Gore and Greta said the poles were to have been melted by now.
Meanwhile, greetings from the higher points of an INTERGLACIAL EPOCH!

The map above shows where water would rise under major flood conditions, such as the disastrous recent flooding in the Northeast. While touring damage, U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg said Vermont has endured two storms that would be called “once-in-a-century” events in the span of just 12 years.

But “once-in-a-century” does not means precedented, for what is not usually mentioned is that,

Vermont’s latest flooding disaster approaches levels not seen since the Great Flood of 1927

Historical Vermont Flooding Events

If they’re right, no one will remember that they predicted it.

If they’re wrong, no one will remember that they predicted it.

Utter garbage. Quick review of the Florida map is just bs. Barrier islands underwater, and the best beaches at the exact. same. sea. level. barely afflicted.
