Hunter Biden and prosecutors agree to 'more limited' plea deal - CNN
WILMINGTON, Delaware, July 26 (Reuters) - U.S. President Joe Biden's son Hunter Biden and prosecutors agreed to a more limited plea deal over Biden's failure to pay income taxes after a previous agreement fell apart on Wednesday, CNN reported.
The original agreement fell apart when the judge expressed concerns about a provision in the deal that allowed Biden to not be prosecuted for a gun-related charge in a separate case, a Bloomberg reporter posted on X, formerly known as Twitter.
CNN reported that the deal fell apart due to ongoing investigations into potential violations of the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA).
Under the more limited deal, the president’s son has agreed to plead to charges that span from 2014 to 2019 and include conduct related to tax offenses, drug use and gun possession, according to CNN.
The deal does not shield him from future charges, CNN reported.

WILMINGTON, Del. — Hunter Biden pleaded not guilty to federal charges Wednesday, a surprise development after a disagreement arose with prosecutors over a gun charge.
If one looks closely the tiny red marks from the judge’s fingers can be seen on the back of Hunter’s hand.

Why would there be immunity for anything not specifically charged? It’s clear they are using the plea to shield him from more serious crimes.
My thought too, Sarah. Sadly, imho, when all is said and done, nothing of significance will happen to Hunter....or Joe. Sure seems like, Dems rarely, if ever, pay a price for their many misdeeds. They are devious and manipulative.

I am watching NewsMax, who reported the revised deal, and now CNN and Reuters (repeating CNN's reporting) have confirmed that a new deal with limited immunity has been struck between Biden and the DOJ.
The judge has not yet signed off on the new revised deal, however.

By shielding Hunter from more serious crimes, they are also shielding JOE BIDEN from getting caught up in further investigations.
The whole point is the DOJ attempting to protect Joe Biden.
You have still not caught up. The judge rejected the deal and Hunter just pleaded not guilty.
