If they indict him DC, they’ll try him there and it’s a certain conviction. Could the judge declare him a flight risk and jail him?
I could see this coming and I can’t understand why congress didn’t see it as well and find some way to preempt it. As the dems have demonstrated time and time again, the law is malleable and effective for monkey-wrenching things, intimidation and punishment.
Final thought: Trump was impeached for Jan 6, and acquitted.

Trump will not be on the 2024 ballot since a conviction for "sedition" bars him from running for office per Federal law.
A DC court WILL convict Trump for any charge regardless of any evidence.
Nothing short of another Civil War can stop this from happening.

The feds have problems convicting mob bosses when they have good access to a defence. The fed will really have a hard time convicting somoni in the public eye for the past 40 years and has important friends who see this as what it is, political lawfare. If trump did something bad there has a been an entire wing of the NY bar living off lawsuits with the man and the company for 40 years and a press corp with a hard on to lean in on for the past 6 years. People have gotten less than the lea gal fees they have expended on the average and a news story for the NYPost and NYTimes to chew on. Everything else is still smoldering in a dumpster of failure. Sure he was tried and not impeached, but nobody can really say what the charges were.
A Joe Biden inditement flips the script, something a wing of the democratic party wishes for, there are some realy players attached to Newsome/Harris. Some prosecutor somewhere has a big head and will attempt a political prosecution against actual evidence around influence peddling and change everything.
The question has always been, what are you going to give Trump that he has not already debt financed for himself over the past 50 years. Seens his only failure is not buying the NY Times when they were broken. His poltical defect seems to want glorious magazine covers in picture frames because he is protecting the common man.

Some media outlets have started (ever so slowly) reporting on Hunter Biden’s troubles and although most articles are reported from the Republicans “pounce” angle, it is getting some attention.
Therefore, it is time to indict Trump on another charge created out of thin air. I wouldn’t be surprised if they charged him with some FARA violation that the Biden family committed.

I hope Trump is able to overcome these unfair/unequal applications of justice, but he has NO CHANCE of winning the Presidential election.
He should focus on defending himself in court, instead of luring us all into a trap that will resort in the Democrats winning a sweeping victory in 2024.
Several reasons why, but most importantly, Trump just isn’t a conservative, especially ethically.
His supporters like him simply because they think he will apply the same bad medicine to the left that the left typically applies to us.
That is not a winning ticket for a Republican candidate. Hate, revenge, dirty tricks, those belong to the left, not the right.
Any candidate running on those ideals as a Republican is destined to lose. Trump had his chance to be an agent for good and blew it.
