We all laugh about this guy but he would have been way better than the current and previous mayor.
Landlords were still required to pay all costs, fees, and taxes associated with their buildings. Some of them were forced to sell to avoid going to prison for not providing heat.
No landlord is ever going to get burned like that again. There are hundreds of thousands of units off the market that aren't going back until the landlords have concrete protections from Pfascist overstepping.
For the potential tenant, expect to pay up to a YEAR or TWO up front so that when, not if, the Pfascists implement their next eviction moratorium, the landlord has a pool of the tenants' funds to dip into.
Yeah. I’m sorry they believed the hype. It is out of character. Hopefully they learned a lessor to two.
Probably a good time to take a look at their Constitution and see what they did wrong.
One good thing we had going for us is that the States still had a lot of authority in the U.S. You saw a lot of push back from the Governors including DeSantis and Kemp (he's a POS but he was good during the covid crisis).

My son works remotely and doesn’t go into Manhattan much, but he walks and bicycles to get around in Queens and likes to ride the ferry just for fun. He sold his car before he left Charlotte and doesn’t miss it.
