Beat me to it by a little over a minute..sigh.
Ramaswamy is auditioning for a position in a Trump cabinet, perhaps even VP.
He’s a far better choice than Kamala Harris, whom the Democrats are busy keeping hidden and off to the side, she’s nothing but a liability for them.
Talk about a low bar.
From what I heard last night... Vivek was the only one up there with a clear idea of the limits the Constitution imposes on our government, and actually thinks it’s a good idea to follow it.
Everyone else, including Pence, seemed to be status quo and damn those limits...
Long gone are the days of William F Buckley's Firing Line.
I agree that Ramas looked immature compared to the others. One thing I'll give him, though -- even if he doesn't win the nomination nor be Trump's VP, at least he performed a service for us by being best IMHO at keeping the debate focused on real issues. And he supported most of our causes with passion. I'm glad there was someone on the stage how had zero hesitancy at raising his hand to stop giving money to Ukraine.
Another way to say it, Ramas might be to us what Bernie was to the Dims. Bernie, though unsuccessful at becoming prez, was successful in changing the narrative of the Dims to the point where now they openly support socialism. We need people like Ramas who, even if he doesn't win the nomination, defines the narrative enough that the other candidates have to be unafraid to support conservatism.
> And Pence from Indiana brought exactly what? <
I’ve wondered about that myself. Indiana would have gone for Trump regardless.
My point is that Trump has to be much more strategic in 2024. We will see media smears like never before. And we will see Democrat cheating like never before. So every move Trump makes has to be significant. He can’t get the MAGA program running again if he can’t get elected in the first place.
Someone on another thread suggested a sharp conservative woman from a swing state as VP. I don’t know who that person would be. But the idea makes sense to me.
I would clarify that he also said that Trump was the best president of his lifetime, which began in 1985. So that would include Ronaldo Maximus.
Seriously,
Trump’s VP will not come from this lot. Other possibilities:
someone from Georgia (certainly not Kemp)
someone who is a solid MAGA congressperson or (former or current governor)
Tucker
A question for those of you who watched the debate: How many questions about race and climate change did the Deep State stooge moderators ask?
As per John S Mosby.
Kari Lake would fit that bill.
I’ve watched Vivek since he announced and am convinced he’s running for VP or a cabinet position.
Ramaswamy doesn’t smell right he’s hiding a ton
Trump was right, Vivek will get the most bump from the debate. deSantis was listless. Haley lied. Pence was a bully. Christie got slam dunked by Vivek.
Trump is kind to those who are kind to him. Doesnt make them his VP
“Ramaswamy has paid wikipedia to erase his Soros history. He is a go getter for the global world order.”
What utter crap. His “Soros history” amounts to a college grant from a Soros affiliated organization over a decade ago.
I got a Pell grant in the 70’s sponsored by Senator Claiborne Pell (D-RI) one of the true lefties of the era. Guess I’m seriously bad news as well, eh.
He reminds me of Trump in a way.
