Trump’s lawyers won’t adopt and defend Trump’s hard-minded approach to things.

I agree. Meadows also confirmed that President Trump held on to the classified Iran attack plan. We don't know why - but we do know there was a damn good reason.

Perhaps as leverage against the DS. Perhaps to prevent WW3. Whatever the reason, that's why he asked Corcoran if they just ignore the subpoena.

When it became clear this Corcoran hack was unwilling to adopt the hard-minded approach, he told him to come back in two weeks, during which Walt the poolboy paid a visit to the storage room.

Two weeks later Corcoran was able to do his review and certify that President Trump had truly returned all classified docs. ;)

Honestly, we owe the poolboy a debt of gratitude. We'd probably all be glowing bits of uranium if it wasn't for some of the secret wheels turning behind the scenes.

“Awful lot the hearsay in there.”

I agree with you. I bet there is a whole lot more to the story.

He knew he had every right to handle those documents in any way he pleased.

I agree with you. Under the Presidential Preference Act, any thought he had about the classification status of a document instantly becomes that, including retroactively.

My point is that the Iran attack plan was truly secret, and present at Maralogo. We know this, but we don't know why. And I think that's important. It may have been the difference between living in the current 3rd world hellhole America vs. nuclear inahalation.

“That statement will never be read in court. He was chatting with a reporter. He was not under oath. Most likely he was just blustering. Or he was lying to the reporter.”

Of course it will be read in court, by the person to whom Trump was speaking. 99.99999% of all statements in the world are said out of court, not under oath, and are 100% admissible in court.

That’s kinda the point of the oath in court, you are swearing that thing you heard or said outside of court is true.

What crime do you think Trump committed?

Awful lot the hearsay in there.

There is hearsay. However, most of the statements fall within the numerous exceptions to the rule against hearsay. See FRE 801 et seq.

“What crime do you think Trump committed?”

Trump was indicted, and will go to trial where a jury will decide whether Trump broke the law. And in that trial, his statement will be admitted as evidence. If you think otherwise, you are sadly mistaken.

At this point, I've caught up on every last SVU episode so I'm on confident ground saying you are correct.

It's academic anyway. President Trump has needed things to get to this point to demonstrate the absolute corruption, so that when the Storm comes- Americans will understand.

He probably should have been making them public while he was president instead of hiding them in his bathroom after he lost.

This whole document thing is dreamed up by the Biden Administration. Why are you allowing their parameters to guide your thinking?

A President doesn’t get subpoenaed for his presidential documents. It doesn’t work like that in The American system of justice. Of course, are we still in The American system of justice? Doesn’t appear we are.

Do you think he committed a crime? What law, if any did he break?

The cold hard fact is that the Deep State controls the multiverse. They are able to go back as Time Bandits and alter the thread of reality we're in. Originally, perhaps the Iran document was duly declassified and subsequently a souvenir. But then the Algorithm flipped and here we are. Those parameters are obvious to me as well, but I have done this before.

Trump himself has said he was bullshitting and was referring to story clippings of Milley claiming Trump wanted the attack plan. It’s unclear he actually showed anyone the plan or if he even had the plan which is apparently not among the recovered documents know so far. The indictment ended the audio leaked to CNN in a damning way.

I personally don’t care. This is the most serious case but in the end it’s a documents case. It’s not about espionage or treason which is never alleged. Even in this article Trump is asking his lawyers the kind of questions about the documents and subpoenas a client would and should ask.

Trump wanted to go through the boxes himself, and was, that’s pretty clear.

If there’s any evidence he said that which he removes to the residence is unclassified then a lot of this is wasted time. Truth is we’re looking at wasted time.

At this point, I don’t trust the government to tell me the truth where it regards Trump. It’s shown a willingness to lie and undermine the candidate later president. Let America vote.

This is the most serious case

Interesting perspective-I just don't understand. If the charges in the documents case are proven, I don't see any jury thinking a billionaire is looking to cash in. Worst case he wanted some trophies. Even if convicted there's no chance of jail time- this is all about a slap on the wrist.

A RICO conviction in GA is a different story. The J6 Federal indictment is not pretty reading either.

This story of the Iran doc wasn’t included in the indictment.

You are wrong. It was in the superseding indictment from July 28th.

“This whole document thing is dreamed up by the Biden Administration”

More like Trump gifted the whole thing to Biden by being an idiot and not just giving the document back, or listening to his lawyers. You had some low level twat leftist bureaucrat at NARA harassing Trump, and instead of playing it smart and by the book, blew this whole thing up in his own face.
