Reason enough to abandon the forced EV for all nonsense.

I agree.

The world’s biggest supplier CATL is (this month) starting full scale production at a Sodium plant, which will supply the batteries to a car company (Geely), all of this is happening right now.

Wait, there’s probably a flower that blooms there every 20 years, so no one can dig up to lithium. /s

NOPE; the Sierra Club, EPA, BLM, and all the other alphabet agencies will discover a lizard, toad, weed, or bug and won’t allow any mining what so ever!

For the past 40 or 45 years I have hiked and hunted all over that area, strange; I have never seen a green environazi or green professor type in all that time spent there.

I have to wonder; do they wait for some poor prospector to find something of interest to industry and could make him a profit before they rush out to find an endangered grain of sand?

Apparently they can be recycled...if the capacity to do so is developed to any large scale.

But...there remains the problem of instability and those pesky explosions and all that stuff...

enviro whackos will do everything they can to stop the mining

Local indian wackos are claiming that the proposed mine is located on sacred ground.
LOL...sacred ground; every drive through a reservation and see how the ground is treated?

“The USA could be the Saudi Arabia of lithium.”

The USA could be the Saudia Arabia of everything if not for the commie dims and enviroweenies. Think New World Order per “No New Taxes” GHW Bush.

“The USA could be the Saudi Arabia of lithium”

Brandon and Hunter have already sold the mineral rights to China. *SPIT*

“Plus, the Dims have long blocked mining of cobalt and nickel in Minnesota.”

Wisconsin, too. We are ‘The Badger State’ due to our ancestors living/working in mining holes in the ground. ;)

I’m surprised that doesn’t offend someone. *Rolleyes*

I could imagine them greenlighting the mining in order to help realize their EV dream. The greenies would lose the internal battle with the broader left which would prioritize EVs over environmental stuff.

Look for Biden and the Democrats to immediately put it all off limits.

Home to more than 65 percent of the world’s known reserves, could Latin America’s “Lithium Triangle” formed by Argentina, Bolivia and Chile become the Saudi Arabia of the 21st century?
