You have to think that they’re so hellbent on driving guns and ammo into the black market because somebody “in the know” is making big profits there.
Prohibition in the 1920s gave us the Mafia, (and the Kennedys, gawd help us). We don’t have a catchy name yet for what the War on Drugs is bringing us. Who wants to think up a name for the unintended consequences of the War on Ammo?

If they get an ammo and gun tax, then Poll Taxes are legal too. If poll taxes are not Constitutional, then neither are gun or ammo taxes.

I am glad I purchase ammo in bulk and that I also reload. Actually, I am really glad I don’t live in New York.

That will obviously apply to law enforcement as well, won’t it? I’m really not sure why the gun and ammo manufacturers don’t get together and just refuse to sell to LE in the states that do this.
