Not if they learn from the Israelis. They would call up all the Reserves. Move them to the borders. Wait until the Russians withdraw from Belarus. Then the soldiers can return to reserve duty.
I think the countries and scale involved make for a different situation than Israel lives with and their dealing with Arab attacks.

Accepting any Zelensky peace plan without negotiations was always going to be a no go. That deal had to be all HIS terms and only a fool would think that was going anywhere.

Prigozhin was likely killed because he WOULD NOT work with Putin, so I’m not sure that Zelensky is taking the right lesson here.
Putin took Crimea in 2014. That's enough warning for me. Ukraine did a lot to prepare themselves. They got a lot of weapons from the West. But they should have created something like the IDF. All the men should be in the Reserves. Have them mobilized when the Americans are showing you the satellite images of Russian troops staging in Belarus.
The Russians almost took Kyiv. Fortunately, they were too incompetent and corrupt. But if they had their $#it together, Kyiv would have been conquered in the first three days of the war.
Ukraine needs to get rid of Putin if they want peace.
