“The GOP will need to find an alternate, perhaps Jim Jordan”
Jordan is running an important committee, besides... he reminds me of a heart attack looking for a place to happen.
Byron Donalds would be an excellent selection. He rock solid.

The first thing that needs to happen is that the masses need to wake up to the fact that for most of their lives they’ve only had the illusion of choice, then we can go from there.

Donalds was nominated several times during the initial vote for Speaker, so it wouldn't be unexpected to see him nominated again.
Also, it would be nice for the GOP to steal a "historic first" from the Democrats by voting for the first Black Speaker of the House so Hakeem Jeffries doesn't eventually get it and all the LAAP-dog media fanfare that would go with it when it's a Democrat.
The Democrats made a big deal of Jeffries being the first African-American to be nominated for Speaker (I guess Donalds wasn't nominated until a later round of voting), so stealing the actual attainment of Speaker from Jeffries would be a historic move for Republicans (which is probably why they won't do it).

yep, no wonder there is no accountability in government, nobody wants to hold anyone accountable. The truth is that none of them want to be held accountable.
