So many articles posted on FR repeat the mantra that Israel is an ally of the US. While in fact that had been the case for many years, since 2008 and the election of Obama/Biden, both Muslim-lovers, that relationship soured. Israel since then has been given short shrift repeatedly by Washington. It is perfectly reasonable to assume our intelligence services knew of the impending attack yet did nothing to alert the Israeli government, and further, that the decision not to do so could have originated within the Oval Office itself.
