Every time the Dems propose this kind of stupidity, the GOP should include an amendment to require all members of congress House and Senate (and their staffs) be subjected to random drug testing.

Important note on history. The battles of Lexington and Concord were the result of the British trying to secure AMMUNITION and Black powder, to deny the citizens the use of their weapons that they were having troubles seizing.

Also the muskets had superior rifling which greatly improved the long range accuracy that the British didn't have.

Those weapons were referred to as American Longrifles which had rifled barrels which had lands and grooves with a twist rate of about one turn in 50 inches to impart enough spin to stabilize the flight of the round ball projectile. The British Brown Bess musket was a smoothbore which was highly inaccurate at ranges over 25 yards. We could kill the British out to ranges of 300 yards. Just the observations of an old Marine Corps Armorer and gunsmith.
