One of my family’s best friend is a naturalized American from Durban, SA. A surfer chick from the beaches of Durban and was expectedly liberal. She immigrated in the late ‘80’s before this happened.
We got to watch this slow-motion train wreck happen with commentary from her. When they first started removing the Boer’s and other key people that made everything work we had some very intense conversations. She is a Caucasian of Martinique and Dutch heritage and had the worse case of White Guilt, it wasn’t called that back then, but she was chronic. Her most prized possession was an autographed photo of Nelson Mandela!
As the decades came and went one thing was constant, the societal degradation of an amazing country by radical marxist ideologies implemented by genuine racist thugs. She still supported them. Until one day, her family was touched by the long arm of the racist policy demanding the family surrender their sugar cane farm and they must restructure their surfboard and tourist company with proper DEI protocols.
Amazingly now she sees the errors of her thinking. Like the millennials here in America the brainwashing my friend received in their public education system was effective and it led to the willingness of the educated and productive members of society to capitulate to the marxist agenda.
