Quelle bummer!

“[Campbell] fell in the water and struggled for a couple of seconds before giving up and sinking underwater.” I thought that earlier reports indicated that he was an accomplished swimmer?

When you’re up Shiff’s creek, have a paddle!

RIP Why was he doing that if he couldn’t swim?
To: billorites
Sounds like the chef was drunk or otherwise impaired.
To: billorites
None of the SS Agents could swim nor were trained in water life saving? And they area assigned to POTUS detail? Incredible.
The first boat wouldn’t start so they ran around clucking looking for keys to the second boat. Uh, huh. Sure.

Perhaps he had a cramp? I don’t know if that would show up in an autopsy. Struggling just for a few seconds seems quick, but the witnesses are often wrong about timing.

Campbell was not wearing a life jacket and had no personal flotation devices aboard the paddleboard at the time of the incident. Not smart.

Wondering why they paused the search for the body when Obama showed up and started asking questions.

Meanwhile there’s poolside video showing that the guy is a good swimmer.

“It is disturbing that Secret Service boats did not work for this emergency situation,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. “This new information perhaps explains why the Secret Service is still hiding video related to the tragic drowning.”

The corner/ME should be able to test for bloodstream alcohol level. Or so one would think.

excerpt from the piece:
The records also show that the Secret Service could not get the first two boats they tried to use to search for Campbell to function and had to use the groundskeeper’s boat. Also, at least one, and possibly multiple, agents from the Secret Service’s Little Rock, Ark., office were involved in the search for Campbell’s body.
interesting that USSS agents from Little Rock (home of bubba's library) we sent to martha's vinyard to investigate a drowning??
perhaps due to their experience in locating drowning victims?

Meanwhile there’s poolside video showing that the guy is a good swimmer. He may be a good swimmer. However, if he had something like BPPV (Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo) he would struggle to remain above the water’s surface.
