They're spending hundreds of millions to catch a falling knife and it's not helping. Their own NFL adds have switched to their other product lines of Corona and Modelo because Bud Light is forever tainted as a brand due to Transheuser Busch / InBev's own actions.
As for losing, it's Leftists like Budweiser who were already losing. They've been losing since 2008 when InBev bought them out. It wasn't a "mistake", it was an intentional promotional campaign that included special cans they manufactured to commemorate mental illness. InBev / Transheuser Busch didn't "get the message", they're doubling down to deny the scope of what they did and what they intended to continue doing until they got slapped.
