Trump said build a wall EIGHT!!! years ago. Eight! Half the people on this forum were saying build a wall twenty years ago. TWENTY!!! Heck, we were talking about building a wall in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Even the democrats claimed to be in favor of it ... but nobody did anything, and it STILL isn't complete.

What are the powers of someone who holds that office?
What other government branch must that office-holder depend on to enact policy?

Some anti-American judge has probably already signed an order blocking this but good for Abbott. Mayorkas will be crying all over the media about it tomorrow because trying to stop the Balkanizing of America is racis or something.
