“Quora? The opposition has child-like responses.”

That seems to be the case with most of the people these days.

Still this propaganda that “fossil fuels” somehow cause a mysterious “climate change” which varies from global cooling to runaway atmospheric heating, creating huge human dislocations and perhaps megadeaths.

Isn’t this what The Powers That Be want anyway? Mass movement of humanity from overrun poverty stricken localities to the relatively open and currently prosperous parts of the world, then destroying the very source of that prosperity by eliminating the use of “fossil fuels” by government decree.

No longer able to produce adequate quantities of food, or generate the electricity so necessary to a modern civilization, the lights go out and a vast chill settles upon the starving and destitute population that remains.

Dystopia achieved right on schedule for a massive dieback of humanity, resulting in a world depicted in “Soylent Green”.

And we know how the shortages of protein were managed.

Transitioning away from fossil fuels...

What in the world is wrong with fossil fuels?

What's a 'fossil' fuel, other than a mechanism to suggest people view oil/gas as rare, and maintain prices?

Oil/gas is abiotic. Abundant. Replenishes itself (I hear that depleted gas/oil fields start refilling themselves).

It’s sheer lunacy to “transition” without a viable alternative, which we don’t have at present. Further evidence that it’s all a big scam.

“What in the world is wrong with fossil fuels?”

According to the EPA:

Sources and Solutions: Fossil Fuels

[...]
“When fossil fuels are burned, they release nitrogen oxides into the atmosphere, which contribute to the formation of smog and acid rain.”

Just plant some trees.

Encourage nuclear energy.

Make and store methane (i.e., 'clean natural gas') from biomass and petroleum wells.

Ignore Chicken Little climate scientists and their clownshow discipline.

And don't fund all this with government, just stop taxing the hell out of everything.

We will be fine.

What about plastic, pharmaceuticals, steel, fertilizer … batteries and solar will not make those products.

I’ll tell you something Pushcar, everybody from India is busting their asses and breaking the law sneaking into those countries, the USA, Canada, Australia, Norway and the U.K. They seem to have a thing for fossil fuels you fool. Those in your beloved India would still be looking up and howling at the moon and not landing machines on it if it wasn’t for those countries! Grow up Skippy and go back to huggin’ your trees.

[[3 Giga tonnes of CO2 equivalent annually. We are distant third behind the two top emitters China with 14 Giga tonnes and the US with 8 ]]

Which STILL only adds up to 0.00136% co2 by man in the atmosphere! Ask the alarmists how just 0.00136% of the atmosphere can be causing global climate change!

So prior to 1900 we have temperature readings accurate with a tenth of degree for places all over the globe…I say BS. The only reliable global temperature reading are from satellite data from less than 50 years. Surface temperature readings prior to that are poor, wildly inaccurate and hardly representative of climate change. Even more absurd are wild claims that today’s temperatures are the warmest in 125,000 years. Again so we know with certainty temperatures within a tenth of a degree at the time of the pharaohs or when cave men walked the earth…again total BS. These are all based on computer models based on with wild conjectures and climate change bias.

Yeah, in recorded history there are two massive intellectual fails: 1) the “theory of evolution” as an actual scientific exercise, and 2) “green energy” to replace natural, carbon-based energy.

When the early 21st Century is remembered, it will be with derision and scoffing.
