Those are the same people who think steak is created straight into styrofoam trays which are covered with cellophane!
The problem is that they lied to us. We are smart, we are adults. We can make the right decisions if given all of the facts. So trust us. Oh wait, they don’t trust us.
I feel a degree of sympathy for some of these people. I try to noodle this stuff out on my own, as many of us on this forum try to do.
But some people can’t noodle it out for themselves, and some don’t.
But a lot of them are schubs who have not yet realized this government in power is a pack of digusting, reprobate liars. They have zero interest in doing what is right for us as citizens.
I wonder if they learned anything here.
I think that we are like a cult sometimes. In a “religious” cult, people are supported like a family and feel welcome and just want to impress their fellow cultists. See I am a good person... yes you are a good person, there is a pat on your back. Unfortunately, that means that they have to turn off their brain and stop thinking logically and stop using common sense.
Remember that this is all driven by the “the earth is going to end in a fiery ball in 10 years” because of global warming. Not unlike the dude decades ago who stood on the street corner and claimed that the “end is near” the pushers of this agenda are cultist leaders.
You make good points, but I had to take issue with this one...we wouldn't care if it were nutjobs on the corner with the sign around their neck, ringing a bell like Kareem Jabbar in "The Stand" (although he WAS right there) but...it is our government doing it, and forcing us, with our own money they take from us against our will, to go along with them.
Or else.
The dude on the street corner was nuts. And our government and the “climate freaks” are also nuts.
But they have the power.
