Correct; there is, in fact, no such thing. Yet some out there insist for some reason that a.) it exists and b.) we MUST all ‘celebrate’ it. They’re delusional, and our interactions with them should always take that into consideration.

Exactly. The “nicer than Jesus” ethos has destroyed the SBC.

We should treat everybody with love.
And we should never condone sin.

Does that mean you attend or do not attend these heretical unions ?

I would not attend because I don't want to condone sin.

Plus, I can stand only so much disco. LOL

Sigh.

Making JUDGEMENTS is how we survive. Do I hang out with heroin addicts? Do I affiliate with a gang? No, because there’s CONSEQUENCES that I’d be begging for. But that’s “being judgmental and wrong”?

There’s a difference between making moral and ethical judgements as to what you approve of and “standing in judgement” as judge, jury, and executioner. They are not the same thing.

The example of Christ saying “he that has no sin cast the first stone” is in the context of people about to be executioners of an adulterous woman. These people conflate this concept with AFFIRMING immoral acts, affirming sin. So have your ceremony, I’ll refrain from STONING them.

These folks are pure evil. Encouraging people into these lifestyles is not caring, it is not helping them do anything but destroy a life of what could be, one filled with real joy and purpose. It is designed to distract from that, to waste their life on a lie. What are the odds this “couple” will ever have kids of their own? Same with gay marriage....”trans” is worse, you reduce your partner compatibility to almost zero. Gay men don’t want “trans men”. Lesbians don’t want “trans women”. Yet they collectively tell me I’m “transphobic” if said I wouldn’t date a “trans woman”.

That so many can accept such lies tells you something very real about the human existence.

meh. I have a closeted lesbian niece who married a not very well closeted gay man.
they got married in church to boot.
on the outside they look “correct” and they have 2 sons who are adults now.
But believe me, he spends alot of time with his college buddies in Key West.
the whole family attended that wedding. But we also knew this could be a sham.

I must glorify perversion, not just accept or ignore it?

Well, no we don’t have to do any of that. This movement is demanding superiority over others and that’s not going to fly.

I love how these folks like to bring up “ye without sin cast the first stone”

If one is guilty of the (same) sin(s), one cannot cast the stone but must defer to one who is without sin. The solution is to live a holy life, free from sin and safe from all distress.

Should we also sleep in their beds with them so as “not to come across as homophobic”?

Hey “pastor”- you attend, and face God later- we however will agree with God that homosexuality is an abomination (the strongest word of condemnation that could be given), and that God’s wrath will come upon those whose hearts are so seared that they will never accept christ and repent of their vile sin.

Oh, and had Christians attended gay weddings or gatherings in soddom and ghomorrah, they would have been destroyed right along with those who were committing the acts of abomination.

Another Baptist preacher who has lost his salt, now hiding out in a glossy suburban “Nondenominational” church. Sort if like No Labels in politics.

I am highly disappointed in Alastair Begg, who seemed an orthodox, Bible believing preacher. I never viewed him in the same category as blatant compromisers and turncoats like Russell Moore, Rick Warren, and Tim Keller. I was wrong.

Very well said. There are two commands in the bible- one is to “not judge” others, the other is to judge others so that we don’t fall into their sins by accommodating and coddling them.

You hit the nail on the head- we are commanded to make rational judgements in life, but on the other hand, we are not to so condemning that we become executioners because we don’t know the other person’s heart and what they might do later in life, (ie they might repent and become saved- we can’t judge who will and who wont- all we can do is judge their acts at present and determine to avoid them if necessary and to condemn what they are doing now- not condemn them to death)

As I learned more and more in my later life about Billy Graham, who was always idolized in Evangelical circle, the more I saw what an apostate he was.

It taught me to never hang my hope on any one man, except for that Man.

It’s time for the church to collectively read John Bunyan’s book “Pilgrim’s Progress” and then ask ourselves which one of the cast of characters am I?
