I have a niece who divorced her husband, then suddenly became a lesbian. She “married” another woman, and they’re both all in on Pride Month, etc. She tells everyone God brought them together. My response was, “It’s never the will of God if it goes against the word of God.”

There is no such thing as a homosexual marriage since marriage is between a man and a woman. So, no need to go to such depravity.

It happened to me and I didn’t go. God’s way or man’s way. I chose the former.

Another one bites the dust. I’m adding him to my “do not listen to” list of fallen preachers. It’s so long.......

Show me a person who says they are without sin and I will show you a liar.
The idea that inly sinless can judge or at least point out as sinful is what has got us to this point
I will reintegrate Jesus’s admonition to go and sin no more is rarely mentioned and in this particular case was directed at the woman, telling her to stop her sinful behavior, not you just go be you I’m okay your okay

If nothing is wrong then everything is okay and we see that manifesting everyday

And getting longer, unfortunately.

Not going to happen to me since I don’t know any homosexuals close enough to get an invite. If in theory I was invited I’d politely decline. I did know a couple a while back on an acquaintance level but they’re both dead now so that won’t be happening from them either. I used to DJ weddings decades ago but also none that I did were of that type. The times back then were a bit more normal.

Thanks for hose verses- we are all guilty of sins, this is true, even guilty of committing sins that God condemns as abominations- however, the difference between a saved person and an unsaved person is that our sins have been defeated by Christ’s sacrifice on the cross, and al5hough we may commit abominations still, we don’t actually do so without being conscious of the fact (thanks to the promptings of the holy spirit convincing us that we have sinned) that they are sins, and need to be repented of.

The unsaved person however ignores the prompting of the holy spirit, and refuses to obey, and makes their abomination a major part of their life, and go to bed each night with no thought of their sins being sins.

It is also true that a saved person can fall so far away from fellowship with God that they continually ignore the prompting of the holy spirit, and thatnis a bad thing because there might come a time when God has given his last warning to repent, and he might turn them over to their sins- and the person is also susceptible to the consequences of their sin, ie drug addiction, alcoholism, loss of family, aids or other stds etc while still alive. Hey don’t lose their salvation, but they do suffer a loss of close communion with God, and must face the co sequences of their actions, and God might choose to end their life far sooner than if they had obeyed him.

The unsaved have to face 2 things, the consequences of their actions, and life in hell for eternity for refusing to listen to the promptings of the holy spirit and failure to accept christ.

I've always held up Romans 1:18 as the beginning of the Gospel, not John 3:16.

Unless sinners are completely, soberly convinced of their utter damnation, what is there to be save from?

Noting that “people may not like this answer,” Begg says that as long as grandson knows that she believes it is sinful and she does not agree with it, then she SHOULD attend the ceremony, and even buy them a gift, because if not, her absence will simply reinforce the fact that she is “judgmental” and “critical.”

And I, brethren, if I yet preach circumcision, why do I yet suffer persecution? then is the offence of the cross ceased. (Galatians 5:11)

I conscientiously declined to attend a Catholic infant baptism with a (former) girl friend years ago. I am sure refusing to imply sanction of that false premise of regeneration was and is considered “judgmental” and “critical.” May God grant all “repentance to the acknowledging of the truth.” (2 Timothy 2:25)

There is much that is right in what Beggs says here when read on its entirety. However, he seems to contradict himself when conditioning her attendance on prior communication that attending implies approval. I hope I would have the courage both to 1) relate my love and concern for the person and the fact that I have to conclude that what was planned was a grave sin and then 2) explain that attending would be hypocritical on my part as it would seem to endorse what I am convince is morally dangerous and spiritually harmful to him, leaving me no choice but to show my love for him by declining the invitation and seeking to demonstrate my genuine love for him in some manner consistent with what is pleasing to God.

Yet there may be people who have not committed certain sins for which the penalty is capital punishment. None of those scribes and Pharisees were willing to first cast the stone against the woman taken in the very act of adultery. One might think Jesus had written down their very sin on the ground before them. Apparently, they were all ashamed of something and did not want her blood on their heads.

My daughter’s third marriage was to another woman. I stayed home. They were really pissed off. Now they are separated. They both still seem to hold a grudge. Not against each other though. Huh. Anyway, Alistair Begg is wrong.

Alistair Beggs LBGTQAI+ acceptance, as well as from the LDS by attending a Mormonic baptism, and from liberals by celebration Kwanzaa, and the list does on. May we not compromise as the list can get grey.

I like listening to Begg on his podcasts.

Even though he is fundamentally wrong on many issues. Like this for instance.

Sadly so, yes. Most of the preaching I listen to online are from ministries where the pastor passed away but left audio or video messages for their members to listen to, and were never corrupted with the apostasy we now see in the world.

He's off his rocker.

Not only would I not attend this "wedding", but we do not attend weddings of couples who have lived together and treated marriage as just something to do at some point.

On the other hand, if it's a couple who lived together, realized the sin in that and got married to rectify the sin - then we will attend and celebrate with great joy.

Hypocrites are not unusual, the way Jesus sidestepped their trap was perfect.

Again the idea that one has to be sinless to point out sin or at least that is what many trying to destroy goodness use to shut people up is false.

I don’t have to be sinless, nor can I be, to point out homosexuality is wrong, transgenderism is wrong, abortion is wrong, murder is wrong, theft is wrong, adultery is wrong…

As i said using the first part ye without sin…. Without the second part, go and sin no more is convenient but not factual and not justification for do whatever makes you feel good…

Even under that premise, the presence and gift is indeed contradictory, plus others will be there who he said nothing to, and all of which signifies approval.

But sometimes a legal guardian asks me to pass $10 to his sister (a neighbor) who wants this to buy cigarettes with, yet we both tell her not to use it for that, even though she does. Thus I told him I do not want to be part of it, though compassion I sometimes did so.
