She probably had the recording set up. She is pretty sophisticated at this and very careful to make sure she has a policy where records of any interviews she is involved in so they cannot be edited or faked by the media to discredit her.
She may have video as well.
DeWit is actually better than most high level RINO Republicans and he was probably being pressured to broker a deal by high level Republican political leadership.
Dewit is pretty high up in the Az Republican establishment and well connected to the McCain wing and their power structure so this is serious stuff.
