So the timing of this was while Lake was deciding whether to run for the US Senate. The implication is that she could take the bribe now, and run for governor in two years.
Somebody didn’t want another Republican in the US Senate.
For Lake to have relesed this now means she knew she was going to be running against her own state’s Republican establishment. Is she trying to get DeWit removed from his job as party chairman?
Then why is it being printed as a first reveal?
I don’t think she recorded it. She was surprised by the meeting and even more surprised by what is being offered.
I think he recorded it, but didn’t leak it. I think the big money that sent him required a recording.
But why they would leak it now, i don’t know.
