Based on sales records it is estimated that about 200 million replacement auto tires are sold in the USA every year.
That is 1 billion tires every 5 years.
Do uninformed WOKE Greenies ever think about where all the material that was on new tires has gone when they look at their worn out tires?
The rubber, synthetic rubber, fillers, softeners and bonding agents wears off and turn into a non-biodegradeable particulates - toxic tire dust.
It is estimated that world wide 6 milion tons of tire dust is released into the environment every year.
The particulates get into the air, into the soil where our food grows, into streams, creeks, reservoirs, oceans.
It gets on our vegetables, into our lungs and our drinking water.
Cattle, hogs, chickens, fish, birds and other creatures imbibe it.
But EV owners are smug about driving their non-green, coal powered, EVs even though they do little or nothing to improve the environment.
If you want to know more just do a search for “tire dust”.
Save the planet. They can’t even save themselves.
“But they drove with pride...”
Rockauto had a trivia question a few years ago and the right answer was that a Hummer EV battery weighed about #3000, the same as a ‘67 Camaro.
Just get EV rated tires.
I had the same problem, wore out 64,000-mile tires in 17,000.
Replaced them with something made for EVs, no problem.
It’s a good thing tires are made out of...uh...some kind of green stuff..
In this particular instance, the freak in question came from Florida. Virtue-signaling "green" dimwits can be found all over.
Good post.
No problem. Just burn them to keep warm. The very definition of renewable energy.
Used car. Dealer swapped a higher-mileage set from another car onto it so he could put the lo-mileage tires onto an more favored buyer’s car. Or a family member’s. Or his own. A traditional shyster dealer practice that was old before WW2.

And what to do with the old batteries? I think we should stock pile them and use them to build a massive wall on the border…or just ship them to China on barges
Depending on the model, Toyota Camry is around 3,100 pounds.
save the planet using electricity generated by fossil fuels or coal, battery materials mined by child labor and of course using three to four times the amount of tires vs an IEC vehicle….. it’s all good 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Millions of tons of leaky toxic EV batteries will make a nice addition to landfills everywhere.
Very Optomistic.
We are ‘IDIOCRACY’ hear it Roar.
“They drove with pride...then the battery died” I think we have the makings of a song here.
I never thought about this. I don’t have an MB, but I do have a vehicle with this.
