There are black Jews. Some are converts or children of converts and some are Ethiopian Jews. My former downstairs neighbor was originally from Ethiopia and later emigrated to Israel. She then came to the U.S. and married a NYC fella.

I used a version of that, while being interviewed for jury duty. They asked if I had hatred of any ethinic groups.
I answered “I don’t discriminate, I hate everybody equally”.
I was sent home.
